I pray you have a blessed Christmas–not because of all the celebrations, family, presents and fun you may enjoy in the coming days–but rather because you know the tiny child born on Christmas Eve is the Savior who paid for your sins.
I pray the love that Jesus showed by coming to earth to save you will have all of us who believe reach out in some way to tell someone today about what Jesus did for you.
And if you are reading this and do not believe all that “Jesus stuff”, I pray that you, too, have a wonderful Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, celebrating in whatever way you choose.
I also pray that someone you know, who loves you as much as God does, will take the time to tell you about what Christmas is all about. That they share with you about Jesus’ death so that everyone can be saved. I know God wants all people to be saved. That all includes you.
So, those are my prayers for you, whether you are reading this on Christmas Eve or any other day. Christmas can be a time for wonder and joy and celebration. For some, it may be just another day filled with active dependencies, painful emotions and life situations. For others, giving up completely may seem like the only choice.
But wherever today finds you, the real message of Christmas is unchanged and just as powerful. The real message of Christmas does not depend on any of the things we do, or on what is happening in our lives, but all on what we read below:
“She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.” Matthew 1:21.
Have A Blessed Christmas!
Thanks for your prayers and all good wishes.
